Biocides: Amberguard/Biosuite G
Other Names: Microbial Growth Inhibitor, Bacterial Control Additive
Basic Properties: Bacterial Prevention, Fluid Preservation, Corrosion Reduction
Amberguard and Biosuite G are biocide additives used to prevent bacterial growth, reduce microbial contamination, and preserve drilling fluid stability. They are particularly effective in water-based drilling muds, where bacterial activity can degrade fluid properties.
As bacterial control agents, these biocides inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria and fungi, preventing slime formation, microbial-induced corrosion (MIC), and fluid degradation.
Additionally, they help extend the lifespan of drilling fluids, reducing the need for frequent fluid replacements and lowering operational costs.
pH: These biocides function in a pH range of 6.5 to 9.0, ensuring compatibility with most water-based drilling fluids.
By using Amberguard/Biosuite G in drilling operations, operators can eliminate microbial contamination, reduce fluid degradation, prevent corrosion, and enhance drilling fluid longevity, ensuring cleaner and more efficient fluid systems.
