DrisPac Regular
Other Names: Regular Polyanionic Cellulose (PAC)
Basic Properties: Filtration Control, Fluid Loss Control, Rheology Modifier
DrisPac Regular is a regular-grade polyanionic cellulose (PAC) additive designed to control filtration, reduce fluid loss, and stabilize the viscosity of drilling fluids. It is widely used in water-based drilling muds to prevent excessive water invasion into the formation.
By forming a protective filter cake along the wellbore walls, DrisPac Regular minimizes fluid loss, ensuring that the mud remains within the wellbore and preventing formation destabilization.
As a rheology modifier, DrisPac Regular helps maintain consistent viscosity, reducing the risk of fluid thinning or excessive thickening under high-temperature conditions. It is particularly beneficial in deep drilling operations, where fluid loss and viscosity control are critical to maintaining operational efficiency.
pH: DrisPac Regular is effective within a pH range of 7.0 to 9.0, making it compatible with most water-based mud formulations.
By incorporating DrisPac Regular into drilling operations, operators can achieve better fluid loss control, enhanced wellbore stability, and improved drilling fluid performance, ensuring safer and more effective drilling processes.
