PAC HV

Other Names: High-Viscosity Polyanionic Cellulose
Basic Properties: Filtration Control, Fluid Loss Prevention, Viscosifier
PAC HV is a high-viscosity grade of polyanionic cellulose (PAC) designed to control fluid loss, increase viscosity, and improve wellbore integrity in drilling fluids. It is widely used in water-based drilling muds where high-viscosity performance is needed.
As a fluid loss reducer, PAC HV forms a low-permeability filter cake that prevents excessive mud loss into formations, improving drilling fluid efficiency.
Additionally, PAC HV acts as a viscosifier, enhancing gel strength and suspension properties, ensuring cuttings remain suspended and preventing settling in the wellbore.
pH: PAC HV operates in a pH range of 7.0 to 9.5, making it compatible with neutral to mildly alkaline drilling fluid formulations.
By using PAC HV in drilling operations, operators can achieve better filtration control, enhance cuttings transport, improve wellbore stability, and optimize drilling fluid performance, ensuring more efficient and cost-effective drilling.
